“I would call this beautiful condo Quiet Paradise. If you want excitement, lots of people, noise and entertainment, this place is not for you. But wow, it is such a relaxing, laid back and “recharge your batteries” kind of place. It is great for families with small children for sure. The ocean views are just a dream. The sound of the waves took me back to my childhood in PR. I had not been in the Dorado area for more than 20 years and I wanted to return and check it out with my husband. We stayed a few nights before at the Embassy Suites. The condo is not luxurious but tasteful and very well appointed. Driving to and from the San Juan/Isla Verde area was very easy using the Expressway (Ruta 22). We were in awe to see how Nature has healed itself after the hurricane. Dorado is a nice town, shopping is very easy and close. The Costa Dorada complex is just fabulous, well groomed, clean and quiet. We loved its architecture and white exteriors. The topography of the entire area is breathtaking. We felt very safe (you need to get through 2 gates). The condo has everything you need with outside closets fully supplied, including a tub. The beach is just steps away. We spent an entire day just sitting under a palm tree and relaxing, we even ate lunch there. We also explored the Puerto Nuevo beach in Vega Baja and Mar Chiquita in Manati, I highly recommend both especially the first one (weekdays are probably less crowded; no chairs/umbrellas available though). Dorado has a great location for traveling and seeing other areas, we just ran out of time. We had dinner one night at the Ritz Carlton, it is absolutely beautiful. You can only gain access there with a dinner reservation. We also enjoyed dinner at the Metropol (we are regulars when in PR). Alma, Luis and Alex were great hosts. Alex was very easy to work with for a couple of minor issues. We will definitely come back. Hopefully by then the golf course will be reopened, as we heard.”
